Operational settings:
Button: select the desired soil moisture level
OFF: sensor is shut off, send instruction to controller that sensor is closed;
S: (25% volumetric ratio) low soil moisture level, when actual soil moisture level is higher than this level, then sensor will send signal to controller that the soil is too wet, and when it’s time for executing the watering cycles, timer will just skip this watering cycle.
M: (45% volumetric ratio) medium soil moisture level, when actual soil moisture level is higher than this level, then sensor is in open condition, which means when it’s time to water for the controller, the controller will skip and not execute the watering program as set;
L: (65% volumetric ratio) high soil moisture level, when actual soil moisture level is higher than this level, then sensor is in open condition, which means when it’s time to water for the controller, the controller will skip and not execute the watering program as set;
> LED indicator: when selecting the desired soil moisture level by pressing the button, the LED indicator of the selected point will light up, which means that setting is selected, if there is no more setting within 1 minute, then the setting will be save and LED indicator will be off.
> Low Voltage Mode: When voltage is below 2.4V, all LED will blink together once per second, which is a warning that new batteries are needed.
>Connection port: when actual soil moisture level is higher than the set level, it is in open situation; when actual soil moisture level is lower than the set level, it is in closed situation.
How to use:
1. Install 2*AA alkaline batteries
2. Set desired soil moisture level, connect sensor to controller
3. Insert two detection probes fully into the soil
